CARIBOU – Jonathan W. Jalbert, 39, passed away unexpectedly June 9, 2021 at Caribou. He was born in Caribou, March 7, 1982 the son of Wayne P. Gagnon and Sharon Ann Jalbert. Jonathan attended Caribou schools, and then was employed doing carpentry for several years. Jonathan will be remembered as a good and respectful guy, who was outgoing and kindhearted when you got to know him. He loved animals, and being around children especially his beloved niece and nephews. Jonathan was a caring brother, who was especially proud when his brother, Matthew, joined the Caribou Fire Department. Jonathan enjoyed art, especially tattoos, and had the phrase “those who wander are not always lost” tattooed on his arm – a motto of his.

Jonathan is survived by his mother, Sharon Cannon of Caribou, his paternal grandfather, Reed Gagnon and wife Candy of Easton, his brother, Matthew Cannon and his wife Kristen of Caribou, a special step-brother, Mitchell Cannon of Mars Hill, and a step-sister, Courtney Cannon of Old Town, his nephews, Noah and Maddox Cannon, his niece, Madison Cannon, his step-father, Rick Cannon of Bradfield, and many aunts and uncles, including, Terrie Kennedy, Bob Jalbert and wife Robin, Steve Jalbert, Roland Jalbert, Frederick “Sonny” Jalbert Jr., Reed Gagnon, and Todd Gagnon. He was predeceased by his father, Wayne P. Gagnon, and his maternal grandparents, Frederick and Eleanor Jalbert.. The family will host a gathering to remember Jonathan and share stories at a later date.
