WOODLAND – John H. Wilcox, 81, died August 26, 2023 at Cary Medical Center following a long battle with Parkinson’s Dementia. He was born in Caribou, February 12, 1942 the son of the late Herbert and Addie (Drost) Wilcox. John was employed by many area farmers, and in later years by McCain’s Foods. John loved hunting, ice fishing and raising pheasants. He was a loving husband, father, and “Bubby”. John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn (Nadeau) Wilcox, their sons, Randy Wilcox and wife Trudy, Kevin Wilcox all of Woodland, and Curt Wilcox of Caribou, his beloved granddaughter whom he called “tutu”, Nicole Wilcox of Caribou, a brother, Rev. Herbert Wilcox Jr. of Standish, and a sister, Mary Shumacher of Marietta, GA, great-grandchildren, Dominick and Tearsa Lemay. He was predeceased by both of his parents, and by siblings, Patricia, Irene, Charles and Frances. Graveside services will be held at the Woodland Cemetery on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 10AM with Pastor Michael Hood officiating.
