Joan B. Michaud

Caribou – Joan B. Michaud, 87, died October 17, 2021 at Caribou surrounded by her loving family. She was born at Portage November 3, 1933 the daughter of the late Alfred and Theresa (Pelletier) King. She attended Caribou schools and received her CNA certification from the Caribou Adult Education Program. Mrs. Michaud was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was also employed as a housekeeper at the Caribou Nursing Home for many years as well as a CNA for Visiting Nurses of Aroostook. She married Arthur Michaud June 16, 1951. Joan was a devoted member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards, her garden and more importantly visiting her grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband of over 70 years, Arthur of Caribou, are her children Gary Michaud and wife Lori of Presque Isle, Kevin Michaud and wife Stacey of Hebron, Tracy Powers and husband John and Trudy Wilcox and husband Randy all of Woodland, a son-in-law Tom Bell and a daughter-in-law Gayla Michaud. One sister Geraldine Robishaw of Rockland, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Michaud was predeceased by a son Arnold, a daughter Laura, 4 brothers Lewis, Alfred, James and Ernest and a sister Gloria Granger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am, Thursday, October 21, 2021 from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the New Holy Rosary Cemetery. Following the services all are invited to continued fellowship and refreshments at the Parish Center. The family would like to extend gratitude and special thanks to the staff of Aroostook Agency on aging and the nursing staff at the Caribou Nursing  Home for the fine care and compassion shown to Joan and the family these past months
