Caribou

Jimmy L. Iott, 59, died October 17, 2024 in Portland, following a period of declining health. He was born in Caribou, March 19, 1965, the son of the late Jeremiah Doak and Joan Iott. Jimmy was a 1984 graduate of Caribou High School and he married Betty Neveu, June 21, 2015. He is a lifetime member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and sang in the church choir for a number of years. Jimmy was employed in the laundry department of Cary Medical Center for a number of years and more recently was a Walmart associate. Surviving in addition to his wife, Betty of Caribou, are his son Jessie Tirrell, three sisters, Donna McGraw and husband Thomas, Pam White,  Lisa Pictou, all of Caribou, several nieces and nephews. Jimmy was predeceased by his adoptive father, Norman White, and an infant sister, Bonnie Lee White. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Following the service all are invited for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the parish hall.
