Jeannette Marie LaPointe

Jeannette Marie LaPointe, 89, died May 29, 2024 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born November 30, 1934 in Les Étroits, Quebec, Canada the daughter of the late Edwin and Marie-Rose (Kennedy) Perreault. She was a longtime member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member of the ladies of Sainte-Anne. Jeannette was also a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, where she was an avid bingo player and loved playing cards. She is survived by one son, Richard LaPointe of Winter Haven, FL, five daughters, Ann Hull of Fort Fairfield, Suzanne Saunders and husband Eugene of Caribou, Lisa Milliard and husband Peter of Woodland, Frances LaPointe and wife Cathy of Ocala, FL, and Rosanne Cyr of Caribou, two sisters, Anita Dube and Dianne Arey and her husband Steve, grandchildren, Leslie, Latricia, Ashley, Lindsey, Christopher, Danielle, Janelle, Bryant, Matthew, and Hunter. Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. LaPointe was predeceased by her husband, Romain LaPointe, a son David LaPointe, a grandson, Daniel, two brothers, Victor and Augustin “Ky” Perreault, two sisters, Jeanine Norris and Adrienne Allison, two brother-in-laws, Nelson Dube, and Danny Norris, and a son-in-law, Kenneth Cyr. Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
