Evangeline “Jean” Mary Hale

March 12, 1931 — July 27, 2020

Caribou and Fort Fairfield - Evangeline “Jean” Mary Hale, beloved wife, mother, and sister, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020, at the age of 89 at her home.  She was born March 12, 1931, in Burnham, Maine, the daughter of Archie and Clydie (Gray) Wyman.  She attended Clinton Schools, and graduated with the class of 1949.  She spent many years working various part-time jobs while raising her family in Corinna and Caribou, Maine.  She commented frequently how much she enjoyed the people she met at both Aroostook Dry Cleaners and Ames Department Store in Caribou.  In her spare time Jean enjoyed doing crafts, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and reading.  She also kept a beautiful garden at her former home in Caribou.

She is predeceased by her parents Archie and Clydie; siblings Harrold, Ernest, Raymond, Arlene Proctor, and Vernal; first husband Robert Burlock and second husband Ronald Hale; children Annette Burlock (infant), Dwayne Burlock, and twins Kevin and Keith Hale (infants).

Jean is survived by her children Cary Burlock and wife Judy of Hermon; Blaine Burlock and wife Barbara of Tucson, Arizona; Bruce Burlock and wife Gail of Caribou; Scott Hale of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Dana Hale and his wife Heather of Fort Fairfield; sister Joan Bryson of Bangor; sixteen grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Per Jean’s wishes, there will be no public funeral.  Small graveside services for family will take place at Village Cemetery in Corinna and Evergreen Cemetery in Caribou at a later date to be determined.
