Janice Thomas

Janice Elaine Thomas, age 86, from Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024. She was born on December 28, 1937, in Truxton, NY to the late Arthur Joseph Bilodeau and Nellie Grace Elizabeth (Heath) Bilodeau. 

Janice worked for many years in Health Care as a Registered Nurse. Her passion and dedication to nursing went beyond her professional life, she would volunteer her time to help people with medical needs. In addition to her love for taking care of others, Janice was a member of the Caribou United Baptist Church from 1958 to 2001, and later became a member of the Sarasota Baptist Church from 2001 to 2019. Janice found comfort in her faith and was involved in church activities, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Her nurturing spirit will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Janice is survived by her children: Nancy Yandell, Richard C. Thomas, II (partner, Terry), and Paul Thomas (wife, Valerie); grandchildren: Stephanie Ware (Brandon), Holly Bradshaw, Nicholas Yandell, Angelica Thomas, Justin Thomas (Rachel), and Jared Thomas; great grandchild, Corbin Ware. 

Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Thomas, I; her parents; adopted parents: Howard and Evelyn Harris; grandson, Jordan Matthew Thomas; and many siblings. 

The funeral service for Janice will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made payable to the charity of your choice.
