Idell Jacobs

Mars Hill and Caribou – Idell Jacobs, 78, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022, in Mars Hill surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Caribou, September 1, 1943, the son of the late Idell and Louise (Wood) Jacobs. Idell was a graduate of Caribou High School and was employed by Solman Distributors as well as Huber Engineering for many years. Idell was a loving father and grandfather. He truly enjoyed his many years as a truck driver and loved traveling. He is survived by his significant other Donna Dixon of Mars Hill, his daughter Jennifer Spang and husband Kevin, his son Timothy Jacobs and wife Christina, all of Mount Airy, MD, and daughter-in-law Vickie Jacobs of Perry Hall, MD, grandchildren Garret, TJ, Emma and Christian Jacobs, and Matthew and Ethan Spang, 2 sisters, Marilyn Wilcox of Eagle Lake and Charlotte Chenevert of Massachusetts, a brother Bob Wark and wife Joyce of Michigan, as well as many nieces and nephews. Idell was predeceased by his parents, his son Christopher, and seven brothers and sisters. Private family services will be held.
