Howard Button

CARIBOU – Howard “Howie” Button Jr., 88, died October 5, 2023 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle with his loving wife Diana by his side. Howie was born in New Britain, CT, September 30, 1935 the son of the late Howard and Catherine (Chaponi) Button Sr. Howie worked at Stanley Works in New Britain, CT for 42 years until his retirement when they moved to Caribou. While living in Connecticut, Howie enjoyed golfing and was on a bowling team. He and his son Steven are huge Steelers fans. Howie is survived by his wife Diana (Guerrette) Button of Caribou, his son Steven Button of New Britain, CT, and four nieces. Mr. Button was predeceased by his mother and father, and a sister, Shirley Wassil. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors for the wonderful care they gave to Howie during his illness at Northern Light AR Gould Hospital and the staff at the Aroostook House of Comfort. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 10AM until time of services which will be held at 11AM from the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
