Caribou – Edward Hodsdon Jr., 83, passed away September 22, 2023, at The House of Comfort, Presque Isle following a brief illness. The love of his life, Stella (Dube) Hodsdon, 77, passed away September 25, 2023, at Bangor. Edward was born at Caribou September 24, 1939, the son of the late Edward and Maria (McDougal) Hodsdon. Stella was born in Caribou December 2, 1945, the daughter of the late Theodore and Lillian (Lovejoy) Dube. They both attended Caribou schools and were never separated in their 62 years of marriage. They both worked at many of the same places including Birds Eye, Red Smith Farms and McCains. Most recently they were key in helping start and build a successful business, Town Taxi. Ed absolutely loved doing his deliveries all over the State of Maine and Canada while Stella, more of a people person, loved dispatching for the taxi business and talking and meeting with people. They are survived by their children, Kevin Hodsdon and wife Sharon, Marvin Hodsdon and wife Vicki, Randy Hodsdon and Lori Hodsdon and Milo Haney. Edward is survived by his sister Barbara Dutton and Stella is survived by her brothers Maynard, Richard and Donald Dube. Their grandchildren Destini and Bryan Saucier, Brandon Hodsdon, Brittnie Hodsdon, Maria and Kendall Wilcox, Dezirae Kish and Josh Fortin, Taylor Hodsdon, Alex and Laura Hodsdon, and Randi Lynn Hodsdon. Great-grandchildren Harper Dawn, Avasa, Tia, Kion, Zoe, Paisley, Greyson, Ambria, Jaqueece, Jazairah, Charlee and Kallen. Ed and Stella’s greatest achievements are their grandchildren, spending time with them truly made them the happiest. Mr. Hodsdon was predeceased by his parents and a step-mother, Rose Lausier. Mrs. Hodsdon was predeceased by her parents, and siblings, Gerald Dube, Anita Knapp, Rose Dube, Viola Michaud, Harold Dube and Theresa Gagnon. Mr. and Mrs. Hodsdon were also predeceased by two special granddaughters, Misty Hodsdon and Kacie Haney.
