Alabama - Ethel Mae (Cyr) Higgins, 89, died in Alabama on July 15, 2019. She was born in Caribou, the daughter of the late Patrick and Hilda (Langlais) Cyr. She graduated from Caribou High School and was employed by the telephone companies in Maine, California, Georgia and Alabama over the years retiring in 1990 after over 40 years of service.
She was affectionately known as Auntie Ethel by family and friends as she lovingly cared for many children over the years.
She will be remembered as a joyful, fun-loving person with a wonderful sense of humor that endeared her to all.
She is survived by two sisters: Delores Reynolds of Auburn, AL. and Carla Grant and her husband Richard of Shawnee, KS; her brother Robert and his wife, Margaret, of Caribou and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased her infant daughter, Cindy Lou Corey, as well as a sister, Patsy Chase.
