Helen V. Anderson

NEW SWEDEN – Helen V. Anderson, 75, passed away September 24, 2019 at Caribou following a period of declining health. She was born in Lebanon, PA, October 16, 1943 the daughter of Ellwood and Sarah (Rhine) Johnson. On November 26, 1960 she married Delbert W. Anderson, and together they shared almost 59 years of marriage. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband of New Sweden, are her children, James Johnson and wife Mary of Lebanon, PA, Craig Anderson of New Sweden, Sarah Anderson and partner John Haney, and Gustaf Anderson and wife Heather all of Caribou, a step-daughter, Cheryl King of Machias, her siblings, Mary Sample, Patricia Deck, Charles Johnson, Rodney Johnson, Steven Johnson all of PA, and Rick Johnson of LA,  numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helen was very happy being with her family, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she enjoyed and loved very much especially Kirsten, Nick, and Nevaeh.Mrs Anderson was predeceased by her son John Anderson and her daughter Sherry Anderson.  Friends may visit with the family, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 1pm until time of services which will be held at 2pm from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the New Sweden Cemetery.
