Caribou – Helen L. (Smith) Philbrook, 96, died Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Caribou. She was born in Woodland, June 12, 1925, the daughter of Harvey and Flora (Ells) Smith.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Philip E. Philbrook, two daughters, Deborah J. Philbrook of Caribou, Laila A. Farley and a grandson, John W. Farley, both of Woodland, two sisters, Marcella Cheviot and Phyllis Wilcox. She is survived by; her son, Paul W. of Woodland and daughter, Kathryn L. Michaud and her husband, David C., of Caswell, one sister Lois Anderson; grand children, Todd D. (who she lovingly raised as a son) and his companion, Leslie Brown, of New Sweden, Jason P.H. Farley and his companion, Jamie Skidgel of Woodland, Lyn M. (Quist) Bubar and her husband, Jerry, of Washburn, Lori A. (Quist) Lindner and her husband, Ben of Gray. Great grandchildren, Dillon, Wyatt and Ethan Philbrook of Woodland, Alisha Philbrook of Texas, Viviana and Angel Bubar of Washburn, Mason and Grace Lindner of Gray, Scott Fisher of Caribou; several nieces, nephews and great, great grandchildren.
Helen loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, who will miss her very much. There will be no funeral service and internment will be at the Woodland Cemetery, Woodland in the spring.
