WOODLAND – Carolyn Hayden, 81 died July 26, 2023 in Caribou following a period of declining health. She was born in Presque Isle, April 12, 1942, the daughter of Claude and Arlene (Larlee) Hayden. Carolyn delivered the Bangor Daily News for over 20 years, where she made many friends while socializing on her paper route which got her on the road by 2AM each morning. She was a longtime member and supporter of the Halfway Home Pet Rescue in Caribou, making many quilts for the rescue. She loved knitting, crochet, and quilting – especially for new babies. She also enjoyed four-wheeling in her younger years.
Carolyn is survived by her mother, Arlene Naddeau of Caribou, and her children, Pamela Depue and husband Gary of Bend, OR, Dean Belanger of Wasilla, AK, Susan Belanger, of Anamosa, IA, Jay Claude Belanger of Caribou, Jeffrey Belanger and wife Raylene of Caribou, and Valerie Rossignol of Woodland, one brother, Clifford Soderberg of CA, 22 grandchildren, many, many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father.
