Caribou-Guelda M. Michaud, 80, wife of the late Claude Michaud died August 24, 2013 at Caribou. She was born in Presque Isle, May 12, 1933 the daughter of the late Shelbourne and Ina (McKeen) Ferguson. She was a graduate of Caribou High School and was a member of the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church. For over thirty eight years, Guelda was employed as a CNA at Cary Memorial Hospital and then Cary Medical Center. She is survived by her two daughters and sons in law; Drenna and Martin Veilleux of Oakland and Karla and Scott Curry of Caribou. One brother and two sisters in law; Ralph and Gwen Ferguson of Caribou and Arline Ferguson of New Sweden. Two special grandsons; Jason Libby and Matthew Curry. Several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Michaud was predeceased by her husband Claude in 1999 and a brother Basil Ferguson. Friends may visit with the family 6-8p.m. Tuesday at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday August 28, 2013 from the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Bentum officiating, assisted by Mary Lou Brown. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the church dining area. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Michaud may do so through the Presque Isle Humane Society, The American Cancer Society or the Caribou Nursing and Rehab Memorial fund.
