Gregory J. Corrow

CARIBOU – Gregory J. Corrow, 87, died May 11, 2021 at Caribou following a period of declining health. Born in Caribou, September 21, 1933, Greg was the oldest son of Jerome and Marguerite (McLaughlin) Corrow. His family farmed in Limestone until 1947 when it became the first home the government claimed for the construction of Loring AFB. Eventually relocating to Caribou, Greg graduated Caribou High School in 1952, and enjoyed many lifelong friendships. He served 12 years in the US Army National Guard 152nd Field Artillery. Greg dedicated 40 years as a successful salesman for Solman Distributors building relationships with hundreds of people throughout the county. In 1956, he married Ellen Cassidy of Fort Fairfield and they lovingly shared 65 years together raising 6 children. An avid golfer and charter member of the Caribou Country Club, Greg earned the distinction of joining the hole-in-one club on the 3rd hole. Other favorite pastimes were family gatherings, playing cribbage, and following local and professional sports. Surviving in addition to his wife, Ellen, are his children Gregory and wife Vanessa of Lisbon, John of Stockholm, James and wife Elaine of Scarborough, Alan and wife Elaine of Yarmouth, and Beth and husband Marc Mazerolle of Brunswick, his brother Bryan and wife Judy of Caribou, his sisters Marena Lagerstrom of Presque Isle and Lucille Clayton of Florida, his grandchildren Jessica, Kate, Deanna, Alexis, Nicholas, Carey, Hope, Erin, Allison, Danielle, Ethan and Sean, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Greg was predeceased by a son Brent, and two brothers Maurice and Gene. Friends may visit with the family, Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 3-5pm at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am, Monday, May 17, 2021 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
