CARIBOU – Gloria J. Martin, 85, passed away August 31, 2019 at Caribou. She was born in Caribou, April 19, 1934, the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise Bouchard. She was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and she married Wilfred Martin, on November 26, 1953. Mrs. Martin was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. “Glo” enjoyed socializing and spending time with family and friends, especially at Tim Hortons. Surviving in addition to her husband of over 65 years, Wilfred, of Caribou, are three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Linda Martin, Gary and Kim Martin, all of Caribou, and Mark Martin of Joliet, IL, two daughters and a son-in-law, Jeanne Cyr of Caribou, and Lori and Steve Quentel of Saco, six grandchildren, Ryan, Erica, Monique, James, Josh, and Shantelle, a great-granddaughter, Ashlynn, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Martin was predeceased by a brother, Warren Bouchard, a sister, Patricia Fraser, and three infant brothers. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 9:30am until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am, from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Following the services all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish center. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Cary Medical Center and Caribou Rehab and Nursing for the fine care and compassion shown to Gloria and the family these past several months.
