Caribou-Gertrude Blanchette Wright, 87 passed away May 9, 2015 at Caribou. She was born in Caribou November 27, 1927 the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Michaud) Trombley. Mrs. Wright was a lifelong member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion as well as the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliaries. Gertrude loved to cook and one of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her son Floyd and her grandchildren. Mrs. Wright was predeceased by her first husband, Elmer Blanchette, her second husband John Wright, three brothers, Arthur Tardiff, Harold and Edward Trombley and a sister Alice Marie Beaupre. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Floyd and Judy Blanchette of Coventry, Ct. two grandchildren, Tina Marie Rheaume and Raymond Blanchette, four great grandchildren; Kyle, Brianna and Chandler St. Georges and Ashton Blanchette . Nine nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou 6-8 pm Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Wednesday May 13, 2015 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Wright may do so through the Maine Veterans Home Caribou Alzheimers unit.
