Caribou-Geraldine H. Harmon, 86, wife of the late Frederick B. Harmon died September 24, 2012 at Caribou. She was born in Caribou November 25, 1925 the daughter of the late Vernon and Bessie (True) Doak. She was a 1943 graduate of Caribou High School and she married Fred Harmon October 9, 1944 and together they shared 59 years of marriage until his death in May 2004. Geraldine was a member of the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church and was also a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and she worked alongside her husband as the bookkeeper for Fred Harmon Farms and Fred Harmon Trucking. She was also the co-owner of F.B. Harmon Co., a John Deere Dealership in Presque Isle for a number of years. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Deena and Jim Belanger and her son and daughter in law Paul and Loretta Harmon all of Caribou. Her grandchildren, J.R. Belanger and wife Rani of Caribou, Matthew Harmon and wife Sara of Akron, Ohio and Julie Belanger and her special friend, Rick Grover of Biddeford. Four great grandchildren, Jay and Alex Belanger and Tanek and Ian Harmon. A special sister in law Cecile Harmon of Hermon and a lifelong friend Eva Theriault of Caribou. Several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harmon was predeceased by two brothers Roy and Donald Doak. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 6-8 pm Thursday where evening Eastern Star memorial services will be held at 7:30pm. Graveside services will be held 10:00am Friday September 28, 2012 at the Evergreen Cemetery, with Mrs. Harmon’s nephew, Rev. Thomas Harmon, officiating. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Harmon may do so through the Caribou Public Library for large print books.
