Caribou - Gerald “Bobby” Martin, 67, died unexpectedly October 9, 2021 at Caribou. He was born in Caribou, May 7, 1954 the son of the late Norman and Doris (Plourde) Martin. He was a 1972 graduate of Caribou High School. Bobby was employed as a school bus driver for the Caribou School Department for many years and more recently had retried as a mechanic with the Maine Military Authority. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors, especially spending time at his Cross Lake camp. He is survived by his five children: Jennifer Dubois and husband Ned, Kristi Martin and husband Gary, all of Caribou, Brandy Plourde and husband Christopher of Embden, Bobby Martin of Connor and Billie Jean Hatfield and husband Eli of Madison. Two brothers; Norman “Billy” Martin and Steven Martin both of Caribou. One sister Ella Mae Martin of DeWitt, Iowa. Nine grandchildren; Kylie Nichols, Christopher Dumond, Gracie Dubois, Rebecca Malm, Jacob Martin, Macie Plourde, Martin Plourde, Eliza Hatfield and Bryce Martin. Two great-grandchildren, Leah and Charlotte Doody. A special friend, Diana Levesque. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 10:00am until time of services which will be held at 11:00am from the funeral home with Fr. Kevin Martin officiating.
