George M. Doody, 89 of Caribou died September 3, 2012 at his residence. He was born January 24, 1923, the son of the late Sherman and Nellie (Bubar) Doody. George was a well-known self-employed carpenter in the Caribou area. George loved the outdoors and loved to hunt. Hunting was a family tradition and involved the entire family and many happy family times were spent in the woods with George and his wife Helen. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Gloria Duncan and her husband Jason Duncan and Norma Michaud, his grandchildren Amy LaMothe and her significant other Edie Espling, Bobbi Jo Hanley and her husband Greg Hanley, Jesse Michaud and his fiancée Stacy Robey. Four great-grandchildren, Lance and Derrick LaMothe and Grace and Garin Hanley, one sister, Thelma Cochran and many special nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Helen Doody on April 20, 2011, his son-in-law Fred Michaud on April 13, 2012, his grand-daughter Jenny Duncan on September 3, 1989, his brothers Sherman, Forrest, Phillip, Harold and Beecher and a sister Olive Greenwood. Services will be announced at a later date by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
