Gary L. Cameron, 75, died November 3, 2024 in Bangor following a period of declining health. He was born in Caribou, October 24, 1949 the son of the late Judson and Celia (Smith) Cameron Jr. He was a 1967 graduate of Caribou High School, and attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Gary served with the U.S. Army National Guard, and was a member of the Masardis American Legion Post 208. He married Deborah Peterson Smith, November 27, 1999. Gary was a self-employed concrete consultant with Cianbro/Dragon Products for many years. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt, fish and canoe. He was a former registered Maine Guide. Gary was a member of the Caribou ATV Club, Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine, NRA and was a life member of Caribou Lodge #170 A.F.& A.M. Surviving in addition to his wife, Deborah, of Caribou, are two children, Sarah Beth Stone and husband Michael Cothran of Winslow, and Lon Cameron and wife Tyler Kidder of Litchfield, his step-children, Ben Smith and wife Jen Gennaco of North Yarmouth, Stewart Smith and wife Sharon of Westford, MA, Christy Van Egmond and husband Jeff of Douro-Drummer, Ontario, Canada, and Kevin Smith and wife Lori of Caribou, one sister, Colleen Murphy and husband Jim of Caribou, 14 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 11AM until time of services which will be held at 1PM from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev.
