Elmyra “Myra” (Michaud) Doucette, 88, passed away Monday August 12, 2013 at a Caribou Healthcare Facility following a brief illness. She was born June 28, 1925 in St. Francis the daughter of Simon and Christie (Jandreau) Michaud. She attended St. Francis schools and had been employed at the Red Brick Motel in their housekeeping department for several years. She later worked at the Caribou Nursing and Rehab Center in their housekeeping department for a number of years. She was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Caribou. Myra enjoyed tea with her friends especially those at Caribou Gardens. In addition to her parents, Myra was predeceased by three brothers, George, CJ, and Medley Michaud, two sisters, Venelia Plourde and Alphena Tagget. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great neices and nephews including her special great nephew and his wife who were also her dedicated care givers, Rick and Tara Taggett of Woodland as well as her two great-great nephews, Wyatt and Jesse Taggett of Woodland. She also leaves behind special friends, Judy and David Armstrong of Hartland and Thelma Anderson of Caribou. A graveside service of committal will be conducted Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11 am at the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, St. Francis.
