Woodland- Eldora M. Nedeau, 98,wife of the late Herman Nedeau and Woodland’s oldest resident died October 18, 2012 at Caribou. She was born in Perham August 30, 1914 the daughter of the late James and Laverna (Conroy) Curran. She attended school in Perham and Caribou and she married Herman Nedeau June 20, 1936. Mrs. Nedeau was a lifelong member of the Caribou Assembly of God and was employed by American Kitchen Foods in Caribou for a number of years. She was a loving and devoted wife, and mother and will be fondly remembered by her family for all of the goodies that she canned, and her homemade butter and doughnuts. Many were the recipients of her knit mittens, sweaters, socks, and Afghans. She also donated many of her knit items for various church projects. She is survived by a son and daughter in law Stephen and Frances Nedeau of Cabot Arkansas. Three daughters and two sons in law; Shirley Shorey of Arizona, Marilyn and John Wilcox of Woodland and Carolyn and Gene Holmes of Bristol, Ct. Two sisters, Anne Drier and Margaret Bauman both of California. Twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mrs Nedeau was predeceased by her husband in 2001, a grandson Michael, a son in law, Rev. Dale Shorey, two sisters Mary Curran and Mary Helstrom, and three brothers, Allen, William and Clifford Curran. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 7-9 pm Friday. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday October 27, 2012 from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
