Caribou-Donald Raymond, 75, died February 22, 2015 at his Caribou residence following and extended illness. He was born in Fort Kent December 8, 1939 the son of the late Willard and Edna (Michaud) Raymond. He was a graduate of Fort Kent High School Class of 1958 and then served with the US Army during the Vietnam era. He married Beverly Brown January 8, 1971 in Laurel Maryland where they resided for over 30 years. Mr. Raymond was employed as a security analyst with the US Department of Defense/National Security Agency for many years. Retiring to Aroostook County in 1994, they built a home on Portage Lake and in 2003 they moved to Caribou. He was a life member of the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW, the Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion, AMVETS, as well as the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Don was also an active member of the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery Committee and volunteered many hours at the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou. Surviving in addition to his wife, Beverly of Caribou are two brothers; Raynold Raymond of Plainville CT., and Reginald Raymond of Ashland. One Sister, Anita Theriault of Portage Lake. Several nieces and nephews. Mr. Raymond was predeceased by a brother Emile and a sister Lynda Pelletier. Spring graveside services will be held at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery at a date and time to be announced by the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou.
