David J. Johndro

LIMESTONE – David Joseph Johndro, 64, passed away August 22, 2015 at Caribou. He was born in Limestone, August 3, 1951 the son of the late Alex and Alfoncie (Michaud) Johndro. He was a graduate of Limestone High School and served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church where he was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Johndro served with the 152nd Field Artillery Battery in Fort Fairfield for many years. He was a lifelong member and past Post Commander of the American Legion post 127 in Limestone, where he also held numerous other Post positions. For over 22 years, he was employed at Loring Air Force Base Civil Service, where he worked in supply as a budget assistant. He is survived by one brother, Norman Johndro and his wife Joyce of Limestone, five sisters, Pat Wood of Caribou, Tootsie Pelletier of Limestone, Hazel McIver of NH, Connie Foster of SC, and Susie Hanscomb of NC, several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Mr. Johndro was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Philip, Patrick and Edward. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 6:30 to 8:30pm, Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from the Parish of the Precious Blood St. Louis Catholic Church, Main Street, Limestone.
