Caribou-Timothy J. Cowett, 57 died November 1, 2020 surrounded by his family at his Caribou residence following a long battle with cancer. He was born in Presque Isle June 3, 1963, the son of Everett and Camilla (Lavoie) Cowett. Tim was a 1982 graduate of Presque Isle High School and he married Nancy Hamlin on February 25, 1989. He owned and operated Cowett’s Auto Recyclers and Parts, “CAR Parts”. Tim was a simple man who loved to work with his hands and work on anything with a motor. He adored “his girls” and had a special spot in his heart for his son in law Derek. He loved a good cup of coffee and a doughnut, fresh veggies from the garden, a juicy steak on the grill, and a campfire to joke around. He will be forever missed but we know his mind and body is at peace now. Surviving in addition to his wife, Nancy of Caribou and his mother of Presque Isle, are his daughter and son in law, Alexis Deveau and husband Derek of Orrington. He leaves five brothers; Dana Cowett of Mars Hill, Michael Cowett, Robbie Cowett, Alan Cowett and Steven Cowett all of Presque Isle, two sisters, Terry Cowett of Gray and Luanne Michaud and husband Brian of Mapleton, as well as his two very special granddaughters Addison and Avery, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.Tim was predeceased by his father Everett and two brothers David and Larry.
