CARIBOU – Clifford C. St. John, 66, died unexpectedly at his Caribou residence. He was born in Caribou October 3, 1948 the son of Clifford and Olive (Philbrick) St. John. Clifford was a 1966 graduate of Caribou High School and served with the US Navy during Vietnam. He married Virginia Martin, May 1, 1971 and was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to his mother Olive and his wife Virginia “Ginny” both of Caribou are his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Mary Jane St. John of Lyme, CT, his daughter and son-in-law Renee and Greg Gionffrido of East Hartford, CT, 3 brothers, Arthur Philbrick and wife Lorraine of Augusta, Michael St. John of Gardiner and Peter St. John of Layton, UT, one sister Dolores “Dolly” Jandreau and husband Donald of Caribou, one grandchild, Tyler St. John, as well as several nieces and nephews. Clifford was predeceased by his father, his brothers Leo and Jeff St. John and a niece Sabrina Trenchard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, officiating. Following the service all are invited to the parish center. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veteran’s Cemetery.
