Mary Clevette

January 1, 1933 — January 1, 2019

CARIBOU – Mary McNeil Clevette, was called to her heavenly home on January 1, 2019, her 86th birthday. She was born in Bangor, January 1, 1933 to Joseph and Marion (McLaughlin) McNeil. She lived in Bangor until grade school. She then moved with her Mom and 4 brothers to Crouseville. There they lived for many years before moving to Caribou. It was on a rainy night walking home from a movie with her Mom and brother, John that she met the man who would be her husband, Norman, when he gave them a ride. They were married April 16, 1951. Together they raised 4 children; Catherine and her husband David of Jacksonville, FL, Michael and his wife, Rita (Godin) of Middleburg, FL, Christine and her husband Mark of Limestone, Mark and his wife Amy (Boynton) of Warren. 8 grandchildren Nichole Bell, Beth Badgerow, Nicholas Clevette, Matthew Clevette, Kathryn (Katie) Griffin, Elizabeth (Beth) Johndro, Molly Clevette and Alex Clevette, 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Mary was a member of the Holy Rosary Church and served in many church clubs and activities. Mary is survived by her husband, Norman, her children, and one brother William (Billy) MacNeil of Beverly, MA. The family would like to thank the staff at Glenridge RLTC in Augusta for the excellent care given to Mary, and for always putting the minds of the family at ease. There will be no calling hours or funeral. A memorial celebrating Mary’s life will be held in the spring.
