Charles E. Hash

CARIBOU – Charles E. Hash, Jr., passed away January 25, 2021 at Houlton following a period of declining health. He was born in Chicago, IL September 8, 1944 the son of Emma (Gradle) and Charles E. Hash, Sr. He was a graduate of Kelly High School in Chicago. Following graduation he joined the United States Air Force, which brought him to Loring Air Force Base in 1967, where he met the love of his life Omerine LaPointe. He then served with the US Army National Guard for several years, attaining the rank of Staff Sargent E-6. Mr. Hash was employed with the U.S. Air Force Civil Service at Loring for 35 years as a Chief Inspector. Charles was a very active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he volunteered in several different capacities. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Charles will be remembered as a very devoted man, both to his family and to the Catholic church. Mr. Hash was predeceased by his wife, Omerine Hash in 2020, his parents, and one brother, Raymond. He is survived by his children, Charles R. Hash, of Caribou, and Tracy Boudreau of Worcester, MA, one granddaughter, Megan Boudreau, a sister, Mary Krstulovich of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, many nieces and nephews. Graveside services with military honors will be held in the spring at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou.
