It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Charlene Judith O’Clair, 91, on February 1, 2024. She was born in Ashland, Maine on March 1, 1932 the daughter of the late William and Jessie (Boulier) Beaulier. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1950. On October 30, 1950 she married Gilbert (Sonny) O’Clair and together they enjoyed 63 years of marriage before his death in 2013. Charlene was a lifetime member of the Saint Mark's Catholic Church where she was a member of Our Lady of the Snow Sodality, Eucharistic Minister alongside her husband Sonny and maintained the church rectory for many years. She also helped organized several church Harvest Dinners.
Above all she enjoyed raising her family of eight children. She and Sonny traveled throughout the country to visit their children and grandchildren. They also traveled to Rome, where they were able to visit the Vatican. Charlene’s most recent trip was to Rockport in September to attend her grandson’s wedding.
She is survived by daughters, Christine Ordway and husband John, of Spring Hill, TN, Carol Cote’ and husband Daniel of Ashland, Michelle Gallant of Rockport, Nola Billups and husband Todd of Vass, NC; sons Brent and wife Mary Ellen of Saco, Bryon of Ashland, Doug of Wake Forest, NC; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; two sisters Pearl Burby of Sebring, FL, Betty Diehl of Rocky Hill, CT; brothers Myrton Beaulier of Corinth, Dale Beaulier of Biloxi, MS and Rick Beaulier of Ashland.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was predeceased by daughter Pamela, son in-law Shawne Gallant, sisters Diane Beaulier, Corinna Garrity; brothers Robert Henry Beaulier, Nathan Beaulier.

Friends may call at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 13 Allen Farm Road, Ashland on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 9:30AM until 11AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM. Following the Mass, all are invited to the parish hall for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments. Spring interment will take place in St. Mark’s Catholic Cemetery.
