Woodland Carolyn M Dube McBreairty, 64 died February 21, 2013 at her Woodland residence following a long valiant fight against cancer. She was born in Caribou, January 11, 1949 the daughter of Raymond and Joan (Bossie) Dube. She was a graduate of Caribou High School and on March 18, 1967 she married Nelson McBreairty. Carolyn was employed at Peoples Bank, Caribou Nursing Home and more recently in the admitting department at Cary Medical Center. She was a member of the Caribou United Baptist Church and was also a member and officer of the Caribou Lioness Club. Carolyn was a loving and devoted wife, a special mom to her boys and a proud grandmother. She enjoyed life by caring for others, whether it was through her work or her home. She had the gift of sharing her talents with her sewing, quilting and making beaded necklaces for her family and friends. Surviving in addition to her husband, Nelson of Woodland and her mother Joan of Caribou are three sons and a daughter in law; Ransford “Rancie” and Jen McBreairty of Woodland, Scott McBreairty of Caribou and Brian McBreairty of Machias. Three sisters and brothers in law; Vickie and Donald Labrie of New Sweden, Doreen and Michael Webb and Tina and Dean Wickstrom all of Eddington. Four grandchildren; Chelsea, Daniel, Callee, and Tatum, two great grandchildren, Isaac and Jayden. A brother in law Paul Perry of Woodland. Many cousins, nieces and nephews. Mrs. McBreairty was predeceased by her father Raymond, a sister Gloria Perry and a grandchild, Devin. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held 1:00 pm Monday February 25, 2013 from the Caribou United Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Gary Johnson, officiating. Following the service, all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments with the family in the church dining area.
