Carolyn L. Cossiboom, 72, died Friday, October 25, 2024 at Madawaska following a period of declining health. She was born in Caribou, April 24, 1952 the daughter of the late Frank and Ruby (Wilcox) Ryan. She attended Caribou Schools and was a member of the Caribou United Baptist Church. Carolyn sold insurance for many years, worked at the Caribou Public Library, Mecon Manufacturing and for Michaud and Michaud Trucking. Carolyn enjoyed crafting, woodworking, cooking, baking, and especially spending time with her friends who quickly became like family. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Michaud, and partner Jeremy Owens of Fort Fairfield, her half-sister, Pam McCausland, two half-brothers, Rodney Whitmore, and Calvin Whitmore. her 2 grandchildren, Marjorie Chase Belyea and Kari Chase. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Carla Whitmore and by a brother, Philip Michaud.
Words cannot express how deeply Carolyn will be greatly missed by her daughter, granddaughter’s, surviving family members, and her dear friends whom she loved like sisters and cherished spending time with. She had an amazing gift for woodworking and all things craft related. She had a passion for cooking and the love she had for family and friends showed in the dishes she made. She was very blunt, and you never had to guess what was on her mind, she would absolutely let you know. Carolyn faced a lot of challenges growing up but, these things made her stronger and that strength lives on in her daughter.
The family will host a celebration of Carolyn’s life at a later date.
