Caribou-Camille J. Bossie, 85, our loving husband, father and grandfather, died April 23, 2014 at his Caribou residence surrounded by his family. He was born in New Canada, April 8, 1929 the son of the late Leo and Melonia (Bouchard) Bossie. He married Therese Long June 24, 1952. Mr. Bossie was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church for many years and he was employed by the Caribou School Department for over 21 years as a custodian and school bus driver, a job he truly loved. Camille enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed taking long rides with his wife, listening to their favorite French songs on the radio. Following his retirement, Camille would often comment that he missed driving bus #6 and how he missed handing out candy to the students or treating them to a Burger Boy ice cream the last day of school. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 62 years, , Therese of Caribou are his children; Gayle Smart, Sharon Olmstead, Rick Bossie and Craig Bossie and his wife Cheryl all of Caribou. His grandchildren; Joshua and Aaron Smart, Adam Olmstead, Andy and Ryan Bossie, Kaitlyn Umphrey and her husband James, Meagan Bossie and Nicole DiVito and her husband Michael. One brother, Orenie Bossie of New Canada. Five sisters; Edwina Daigle of Caribou, Lena Pelletier of Millinocket, Ella Dumond and her husband Bob of Hancock, Regina St. Jarre of Burlington, CT., and Bertha Bard of Plainville, Ct., many nieces and nephews. Mr. Bossie was predeceased by six brothers, Paul, Leonard, Romain, Ronaldo, Normand and Edgar and a sister Cecile Voisine. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Monday April 28, 2014 from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Caribou. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mr. Bossie may do so through Aroostook Cancer Care PO Box 151 Presque Isle Maine 04769. Following the service, all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center.
