Caribou- Corinna Jean (Belanger) Caldwell, 70 passed away September 22, 2020, at Boston Medical Center after a long illness. She was born in Caribou, Maine on April 6, 1950 the daughter of the late Alphie and Alfreda (Ouellette) Belanger. She attended Caribou schools and graduated with the class of 1969.
Corinna worked many years as a CNA at Caribou Nursing Home and Cary Medical Center. She will always be remembered for her faith in God and her love of family. She would work for days to decorate her home and prepare a feast for all of her guests. She loved gardening and her flower gardens brought her much joy and pleasure. Corinna and Bob won the Caribou Garden Award for the beauty of their gardens. She was a faithful member of the Holy Rosary Parish in Caribou. For years, she was a lector, a eucharist minister, a cantor, a member of the church choir, an active member of a prayer group, and a member of The Ladies of Sainte Anne.
Corinna was predeceased by her parents Alphie and Alfreda (Ouellette) Belanger. Corinna is survived by her husband Robert Caldwell of Caribou; daughter Sheree (Caldwell) Inman and husband Rick of Windham, ME; son Christopher Caldwell and partner Sarah Collie of Milford, VA; sister Alverna (Belanger) Plourde and husband John of West End, NC; brother Rick Belanger and wife Glenna of Winthrop, ME; five granddaughters: Abby, Megan, Sarah, Lizzy and Faith, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou Thursday October 8, 2020 from 5-7 pm. Please be mindful of others by practicing social distancing, wearing a face covering, and be aware that the number of people allowed in the building at one time is limited.
A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday October 9, 2020 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Following the service all are invited to the interment services which will be held at 11:00 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery
