Beulah Burgess

November 17, 1930 — April 18, 2020

BRADENTON, FL and WOODLAND – Sister Beulah Burgess, 89, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on April 18, 2020 at Bayvue Nursing Home in Bradenton, FL. She was born in Woodland, November 17, 1930 the daughter of Warren and Gertrude (Wark) Burgess. One of six children, her and her siblings worked together on the family potato farm. Beulah attended schools in Woodland, Caribou, and Presque Isle. With a desire to learn more of God’s Word, she then attended the New Brunswick Bible Institute in New Brunswick, Canada. Beulah served as a missionary in Siguatepeque, Honduras at the Las Americas Academy for 38 ½  years. She served as a teacher, dorm mother, housekeeper, and principal. Following her return to the United States from Honduras, she lived at the Bradenton Missionary Village. Beulah dedicated her life to her faithful and merciful Lord, and found it very joyous when someone would accept Christ as their Savior. She is survived by a sister, Lula McCrossin, of Woodland, and several nieces and nephews. Beulah was predeceased by her parents, and her siblings, Arlene, Lorraine, Lindell and Arthur. The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to the doctors and nursing staff at Bayvue Nursing Home in Bradenton for the wonderful care that Beulah received.
