Bruce Steichen, 60, of Limestone, sadly left us on May 5, 2024, at Cary Medical Center in Caribou after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 9, 1963 in Fort Kent, the son of Raymond and Phyllis (Lizotte) Steichen. Bruce served in the U.S. Army for eight years working intelligence in many countries of the world. He received multiple commendations during his service.
Following his military service, he attended Northern Maine Community College graduating with a degree in Information Technology. Past worked involved management for Toys R Us in Chicago, weekend camera man for WAGM and later he was an IT Analyst for Versant Power in Presque Isle. He was an avid photographer; collector of models, music, and books. He loved the freedom of riding on his motorcycle.
Bruce is survived by his mother Phyllis Steichen, sisters Elaine Swimm and her husband Joel, and Tina Steichen-Smith and husband Scott, his beloved nieces and nephew, Olivia, Anna, Alex, and Helena. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Steichen.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10AM at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery – Mount Vernon Road, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.
