Bruce A. Gustafson

May 4, 1959 — October 2, 2015

Caribou-Bruce A. Gustafson, 56, died October 2, 2015 at Bangor. He was born in Caribou May 4, 1959 the son of the late John and Sondra (Kinney) Gustafson. Bruce was an avid wrestling fan, practical joker, and legendary long haul trucker, perhaps more well known to some by his CB handle "Bridgecrosser" and his lesser known alter ego, "Rifleman". Recognized by his day-to-day uniform of Levi 501s and a solid colored Haines Tee with a front pocket, Bruce brought joy to everyone he was able to, from his first to final day. Shoveling coal, cooking burgers or using his driving skills for hours on end were what brought happiness to his heart, and he was sure to never let the dust settle beneath his feet. He is survived by his two sons and a daughter in law ; Bruce and Ashley Gustafson Jr. of Trenton and Brad Gustafson of Brewer. Three brothers and sisters in law; Craig and Joyce Gustafson of Jacksonville, FL., Brian and Tammy Gustafson of Cape Coral, FL., and Jay and Linda Gustafson of Woodland. Two grandchildren, Elise and Gracie. Mr. Gustafson was predeceased by a grandson Bradan. Several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 1:00 pm Thursday October 8, 2015 until time of services. Memorial services will be held at 3:00pm with Rev. Ron Rosser, officiating. We request that donations are sent to SPCA of Hancock County. The family requests that in keeping with his memory, everyone dresses casually and comfortably in the fashion Bruce did himself .
