Caribou-Brenda J. Lewis, 68 , a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister was called home February 19, 2015 at Van Buren following a long illness. . She was born in Washburn December 2, 1946 the daughter of Everett and Margaret (Carter) Barker. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Lidstone Methodist Church in Washburn. She married Earl Lewis Jr. July 11, 1966. Surviving in addition to her husband Earl of Caribou and her mother Margaret of Washburn are her son, Guy Lewis of Caribou, her daughters, Sherri Lewis and Anne Hewitt and her husband Travis all of Caribou. One brother Alex Barker of Washburn, Two sisters; Felicia Rossignol of Washburn and Eva Barker of Old Town. Three granddaughters; Susie Lewis, and Lorriah and Brittany Hewitt. Several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 6-8 pm Sunday. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday February 23, 2014 from the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Troy Heald, officiating. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the Caribou United Baptist Church dining hall.
