CARIBOU - Lucien Bouchard, 101 ½, went home today to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on July 8, 2019. He was born November 12, 1917, in Frenchville, son of Regina (Gagnon) and Joseph Bouchard. Lucien was devoted to his wife and family, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked as lead foreman for Bouchard Potato Company for over 40 years. Known to many as “Pappy”, he was an excellent self-taught carpenter and avid gardener. Lucien was predeceased by his wife, Hazel, a daughter, Carlene Rand, sons, Elwood and Stanley, and several brothers and sisters. He will be forever missed by his son-in-law, Alex Rand, of Franklin, NH, four grandchildren, Trena (Gary) Bertassi, of Palmer, MA, Monte (Kathy) Crosier, of Graham, NC, Shana (Ron) Campsey, of East Quoque, NY, Alexa (Todd) Sullivan, of Nashua, NH, 13 great grandchildren, 9 great great-grandchildren, two sisters, Germaine Albair, of Caribou, Annette (Howard) Kelsey, of Caribou, a very special nephew, Bill Albair, of Hampden, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like extend their deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Presque Isle Nursing Home for their loving care of our dear Pappy. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 1pm until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2pm, Wednesday, at the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Following the service, friends and family are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish center.
