Caribou-Asa G. Skidgel 88 died January 16, 2012 at Caribou. He was born in Perham January 27, 1923 the son of the late Henry and Victoria (McIntosh) Skidgel. Mr. Skidgel served with the US Army during WW II and was employed by several area farmers. He is survived by his longtime companion Florence Dean of Caribou His children, Jerry Skidgel of Washington, Richard Skidgel of Lewiston, Roger Green of Limestone, David Skidgel of Lewiston, Victoria Yerka of Caribou, Faith Patterson of North Carolina, Alice Skidgel and Penny Skidgel of Indiana. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Skidgel was predeceased by a son Johnny and his brothers Harley, Walter, Leonard, Guy and Ray. Three sisters Velma Walton, Margaret Green and Myrtle Skidgel. Private family services will be held at the Mockler Funeral Home. Interment will be in the spring at the Woodland Cemetery.
