Arlene M. Learnard

April 4, 1935 — April 16, 2014

Caribou-Arlene M. Learnard 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family April 16, 2014 at Caribou, to spend eternity with her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Lille, April 4, 1935 the daughter of the late Noel and Blanche (Corbin) Parent. A dedicated wife and mother, who always put others first, she had an overwhelmingly generous spirit towards everyone. Arlen loved reading, cooking and giving to others, but her biggest joy was her family. She was a longtime member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of over 47 years, Richard “Dick” Learnard, one son and daughter in law, Richard “Dickie” and Twyla Learnard, one daughter and son in law Anne and Michael Beaulier and her precious grandson Bryant Beaulier all of Caribou. Three brothers and sisters in law; Paul and Dolores Parent of Waterville, Richard and Priscilla Parent of Saco and Roger and Rolande Parent of South Bend, Indiana. Five sisters and three brothers in law; Noella and Bert Sirois and Normande and Philippe Rossignol all of Van Buren, Dorothy Parent of Hartford, Ct., Sister Emelda Parent, D.W. of South Beach, New York, and Lorraine and James Verboys of Shenorock, New York. A special goddaughter Elena Desjardin, godson Scott Bouchard as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Learnard was predeceased by her parents, and a sister Priscilla Davis . Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 6-8pm Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Tuesday April 22, 2014 from the Parish of the precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Fr. Emile Dube, officiating. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Following the service, all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish center.
