Lillian C. Pelletier Keaton
Caribou - Lillian C. Pelletier Keaton, 93, died April 12, 2022 at Caribou following a period of declining health. She was born in St. Francis, March 26, 1929 the daughter of Raymond and Zelda (Thibodeau) Pelletier. On June 19, 1948 she married Rogis S. Keaton, and together they shared 61 years of marriage until his death in 2010. Lillian was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Caribou, where she was in the Daughters of Isabella group. Mrs. Keaton was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 9389 Ladies Auxiliary. She worked many jobs through the years including at JJ Newberrys, MECON, Loring Air Force Base Commissary, the Caribou Public Library, Nylander Museum and selling Avon Cosmetics. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and cribbage, as well as playing computer games, reading on her Kindle, dancing and listening to music.
She is survived by 5 children, Vaughn Keaton and wife Brenda of Caribou, Ronald Keaton and wife Carol of Dover, NH, Arlene Keaton Luzzi and husband Steve of Hampden, Donna Keaton Everitt and husband Fred of Fort Fairfield, and David Keaton and wife Vicki of Caribou, 11 grandchildren, Ben Keaton, Kevin Keaton, Heather Jones, Chelsea Keaton, Jay Luzzi, Desiree Luzzi Jandreau, Fred Everitt II, Nicole Everitt, Sonya Everitt Brown, Emily Keaton Cote, and Katie Keaton, her great-grandchildren, Matthew Keaton, Hunter Keaton, Jared Keaton, Marissa Keaton, Sam Butler, Avery Butler, Meghan Everitt, Wade Jones, Seth Jones, Anthony Luzzi, Addyson Luzzi, Hannah Jandreau, Audrey Jandreau, Taylor Everitt, Nathan Everitt, and Emily Everitt, great-great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Addysin Keaton, Benjamin Stitham, and Christopher Ouellette, and her Godchildren, Wayne Barclay, Glenda Shorey and Peter Keaton. In addition to her parents, she was precedeased by her 7 siblings, Wilfred, Wilmer, and Lawrence Pelletier, Odille Pelletier Jandreau, Dora Pelletier Ouellette, Cora Pelletier Roy, Evelyn Pelletier Plourde, and her daughter-in-law, Peggy Grant Keaton.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Maine Veterans Home Caribou, as well as to Lillian's special caretaker friends at Lyndon Heights: Polly Brayall, Judy Guerrete, Nancy Conley, and Melanie Albert.
Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 6PM until 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Thursday, April 21, 2022, from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. All are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the Boy Scout Hall, 72 Aldrich Drive, Caribou. Spring interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
