Kevin J. Goodine
Washburn – Kevin J. Goodine, 61, died October 19, 2023 at Caribou with his family at his bedside following a long illness. He was born in Presque Isle, January 23, 1962, the son of the late Jesse and Hazel (Dyer) Goodine. Kevin was a graduate of Washburn District High School. He married Cindy Carson in 1997. For over 18 years he was employed at Cary Medical Center in the maintenance department, as maintenance boiler engineer and safety coordinator. More recently, he was employed in the maintenance department at Penobscot-McCrum in Washburn. Kevin was a retired volunteer firefighter for the Washburn Fire Department. He served as trail master for the Washburn Trailrunners Snowmobile Club. Kevin loved spending time with his family and friends camping especially at his favorite place, Debouille. Surviving in addition to his wife, Cindy, of Washburn are his children, Ryan Goodine and significant other, Kim Whipkey of Washburn, Jessica Milton and husband Allen of Fort Fairfield, Nathan Goodine and wife Chelsea of Houlton, Chad Gagnon and wife Danielle of Presque Isle, Cassie Gagnon of Presque Isle, two sisters, Karlene Goodine of Washburn, Jacqueline Goodine of Presque Isle, his mother-in-law, Shirley Carson of Caribou, a sister-in-law, Bonnie Chadwick and husband Allen of Connecticut, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his special friends, Dwayne Kilcollins and Tim Stitham. Mr. Goodine was predeceased by his parents, a son, Eric Harris, and a granddaughter, Kayden Goodine, as well as several aunts and uncles. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 12 Noon until time of services which will be held at 2PM with Pastors Troy Heald and Matt Palmer officiating. Those who wish to contribute in memory of Kevin may do so through a charity of one’s choice.
