Elizabeth Ann Ellis
LIMESTONE – Elizabeth A. Ellis, 85, passed away July 12, 2020 at Caribou following a period of declining health. She was born in Limestone, April 28, 1935 the daughter of Edmund and Phyliss (Albert) O’Bar. Elizabeth was a graduate of Limestone High School, and was employed as a bank teller and cashier in Limestone prior to her marriage to her loving husband, Ronald E. Ellis, on August 7, 1954. Mrs. Ellis was a faithful member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Limestone, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Elizabeth enjoyed travelling the world as an Air Force wife, and lovingly made her home with her husband and 7 children where ever the military took them. After returning to Limestone, Elizabeth enjoyed attending functions at the VFW, and supporting other military causes.
She is survived by one daughter, Anna Jo Chop of Limestone, four sons, Troy Ellis of Bee Bee, AR, Toby Willis and Shawn Ellis both of Caribou, and Stan Ellis of Ladson, NC, a sister, Mary Ann Kittle of Bowdoin, a sister-in-law, Adelma O’Bar of Caswell, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two daughters, Sheila and Janine Ellis. Private family services will be held at the Parish of the Precious Blood St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. Interment will take place in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone.
