Gene Roy “Butchie” Little, 76, died October 23, 2023 at Presque Isle following a period of declining health. He was born in Sanford, November 27, 1946 the son of Walter and Margaret Helen (Patterson) Little. On October 22, 1976 he married his wife Annie, and together they shared many wonderful years of marriage until her death in 2007. Butch worked for many area potato farmers through the years, including Red Ball and Guerrette Farms. He loved to admire and collect eagles, and had quite the eagle collection, many of which he received from his grandchildren.

He is survived by one daughter, Shannon Little, and partner Christopher Armstrong of Washburn, siblings, Walter Raymond Little Jr. of West Palm Bay, FL, Sterling Little Sr. and wife Yvette of Saco, Rosie Cluff of Kennebunk, and Joan Pelkey of Presque Isle, his grandchildren, Roy Little, Yasha Skidgel and husband Austin, Courtney Derry and husband Clifford III, and Chelsea Theriault, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Butchie was predeceased by his parents, his wife, and by siblings, Paul Little, Joseph “Harvey” Little, Basil Little Sr., Josephine Little, Bessie Paul, Alberta Whitmore, Janet “Eva” Bruso.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Lyndon Cemetery, Caribou.
