Clifton L. Thibodeau
Caribou-Clifton L. Thibodeau, 80, died unexpectedly January 1, 2021 at Bangor. He was born in Caribou, December 2, 1940 the son of the late Robert and Irene (Martin) Thibodeau. He was a graduate of Caribou High School as well as Husson College. Mr. Thibodeau served with the US Army. He was a lifelong devoted member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was also a Fourth Degree member of the Fred V. Brescia Council #1870 Knights of Columbus, where he held numerous positions over the years. He married Joan Sirois and was employed by Steego and Car Quest Auto Parts for over 45 years. Clifton enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling as well as working around his house and in his garden. His passion was playing golf and he would play a round every morning if it wasn’t raining or snowing. Clifton was a generous, jovial, and hard working man, but his true pride came from being Pepere to his grandchildren Colin and Ava, who loved him very much. Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years, Joan, of Caribou, are his daughter and son in law, Stacey and Michael Beganny of Amherst, MA. His two beloved twin grandchildren, Colin and Ava Beganny. Five sisters; Lee Guerrette of Augusta, Robertine Martin of Inola, OK., Elsie Swierczewski of Centereach, N.Y., Arlene Fournier of Caribou, and Joyce Peterson of Woodland. Four brothers; Harold Thibodeau of Rockport, Dan Thibodeau of Caribou, Brian Thibodeau of Chester, N.H., and Mark Thibodeau of Winslow. Many nieces and nephews. Mr. Thibodeau was predeceased by a bother Gordon. Interment and memorial services with military honors will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
