Mary Albert, 74, passed away April 22, 2019 at the Aroostook House of Comfort, Presque Isle, following a courage battle with lung cancer. She was born in St. Francis, December 4, 1944 the daughter of Emil and Mary Jane (Harvey) Michaud. Mary was a graduate of St. Francis Schools and worked in food service for many years before retiring. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post 9389 VFW Ladies Axillary, where she loved to go to dances and played bingo. She is survived by her two daughters, Lorie Albert and her companion Chris Christie of Sanford, and Christine “Tina” Patton and her companion Ed Gagnon of Connor, one son, Darin Albert and wife Mary of Caribou, six grandchildren and eight great-children whom she dearly loved. Mary’s companion Rodrick Plourde who stood by her side as she battled cancer. Five sisters, Emily Johnston and husband Dave, Nina Smith and husband Norman all of Caribou, Jeanne Downend and husband Mike of Woodland, Earleen York of Virginia, Christine Pelkey of Caribou, two brothers James Michaud and wife Rena and Paul Michaud and wife Nancy all of Caribou, two sisters-in-law Edwena Michaud of Fort Fairfield and Elaine Michaud of Caribou. Many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Albert was predeceased by her husband Peter in 2008, her parents, three brothers, Vinal, Hubert and Douglas and two infant sisters, Beverly and Beatrice. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019 from the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery. Following the services all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the VFW.
