Douglas Edward Paddock, 65, formerly of New Fairfield, CT, passed away at Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center in Caribou, ME on August 29th, 2019, following a period of declining health and cancer.
Doug, son of Anne (Kastner) and Robert Paddock, was born January 8th, 1954 in Newton, MA. He graduated from Rippowam High School of Stamford, CT in 1972 and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University in 1977. Following his education, he worked in sales and marketing for several years. Later in life, he worked as a certified nursing assistant.
Doug is survived by his three daughters, Nicole, Michaela, and McKenzie Paddock, whom he loved and was very proud of. He is also survived by the mother of his children and former spouse, Susan Gorey-Paddock, and his brother, David Paddock. Doug spent the most recent years of his life in Mars Hill, ME, where he enjoyed being surrounded by the beautiful and peaceful nature. He valued being involved in the Catholic Church and helping out in the community. He was also a previous member of the Knights of Columbus. Doug would often share his fond memories of boating, golfing, motorcycling, and living in Boston during college. He will also be remembered for his kind heart, laugh, and positivity, as well as his love for dogs, pistachios, and the Red Sox.
