Our friendship has been a joy, not to mention I had the honor to be your in home beautician
for these past 20 plus years.
Loved your stories and your happy go lucky mannerisms even when life
dealt you a hard knock. You bounced back with grace and acceptance of
the things that you could not change.
I see you bowing your head when I would ask you if I could pray for you or one of
your children in need.
May you enjoy that peace and rest that comes when we least expect it.
I am blessed to have enjoyed MANY of those socks over the years and
one of last dolls you made. Thank you for being you Barb. You will be greatly missed.
Sincerely,
Scott & Judi Weatherhead

I met Barb at Limestone Grocery store years ago. I was working for her mother, Sena, and recognized Barb as soon as I laid eyes on her. I introduced myself and asked her if she was daughter of Sena, as I could see the family resemblance. I felt as if I knew her from hearing from Sena about all the family. What a dear lady Barb was, and later I worked for Edith Hendricksen, who loved Barb and talked about her many times too. May your special memories of your mother bring you comfort over the days ahead.....I will be remembering you in prayer....

My sympathies in the lose of your mother. Dawn Sorensen was my neighbor for years and spoke often of Barbara. I am also a friend of your aunt Edith. It is sad that all our families have reached an age that it time for them to return to their maker.

So incredibly sorry for your loss. No doubt, Barbara will be missed. Maybe you might find some comfort from Revelation 21:4 which says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
